DCE Taifun 1230 SCSI 40mhz 12mb

For the Amiga 1200.
DCE Taifun 1230/40 SCSI same as the typhoon 1230/40
68030 on 40mhz with 4mb on pcb and 8 mb with simm.
The simmsocket is broken thats why the 8mb is glued, maybe some handy guy who can replace it with new simm socket and the card needs new battery.
It takes a few seconds before the Amiga starts up with this card because of the SCSI on board, the jumper don't work to disable the SCSI.
if jumper is on, Amiga starts without card. this is normal, i heard.
Card works flawless only never tested SCSI if it works (not enough space in desktop Amiga 1200)
It's PCMCIA friendly on a Rev 1D1 board, so i guess it's works in all A1200's.

I used to have this card, Vesalia sell a SCSI cable that you can run to the back of the A1200 Case and setup an external CDROM or other SCSI devices making this a very good value choice vs a Blizzard 1230+SCSI Kit.

The SCSI is 'ematscsi.device'

Sure it's 4MB onboard? I've got the same card and without a SIMM it shows as an additional 8MB of fast ram - this means you can get a maximum of an extra 72MB fast ram with this card as it supports SIMM's up to 64MB in size.

Mine too takes a little while to enumerate the SCSI bus on startup, but once running it seems rock solid.

Oh, and they have an RTC too!

The card is with 4mb on board and with 8mb simm.
take a look between SCSI chip and FPU feet, there they are.
on workbench screen i see 12 mb fast ram.
So i'm sure. most cards i see is without the 4 ramchips on board.
I know, the card support 64mb module, but i don't know what will happen with one 64mb on board.
the simmsocket is broken by the holders, so the simm is glued on the simmsocket.
i'm not gonna try it , it works as it is.

RTC is on board, i know, but battery is dead.
