HP Proliant MicroServer N40L

HP Proliant MicroServer N40L for sale,

I'ved used this for Network file storage / NNTP downloader / Kodi / XBMC Media player and it's never crashed / froze or caused any issues at all.

Upgraded to 4GB ram (2x2gb), Have been using Windows 10 no issues and I set it to auto reboot every night (4am)

Upgraded the graphics to a Low Profile ATI 6450 1gb PCI-E for hardware media playback and sound over HDMI for KODI

Installed a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-212

Has a 250gb Sata Drive installed (Was 2gb - 2gb - 3gb - 3gb) the above wiki gives examples of drive compatibility.

Has had the Bios update for Windows 10 Compatibility.

All drive bay screws , the tool and both Keys for the front are present.

I'm not sure if I have the box for this, possibly not.

I can post photo's if needed but they all look the same, its in very good condition (Basically sat under my tv for many years not moving just collecting dust :D )


Oh! Reason for selling,, My lad doesn't use his anymore HP Proliant Microserver Gen8 which is has improved performance for my NNTP needs.

I would like £110 (was £125) or nearest offer + P&P.

I agree. I have one too. Shame there is not enough power to run a DVB-S2 card and DVBViewer server too.

No need, thanks. I put up a "WTB Ad" this morning in a local forum and got an offer for an N36L with 8GB of RAM so will be getting it.

great stuff,

the n36l is just a tad slower but perfect for storage needs and you wont need the dvd-rw / 6450/ etc.
