Yes and yes
List of CDDA music Players
most will only need a <nameof.device> and a <unit number> to work - I beleive that even Make CD can read audio data via the <.device> bus too =)
@Zetr0
I will test now....
Thanks a lot

@Zetr0
- PlayCDDA Gui ask about "openpci.library 1" and don't start. I have installed openpci.library 2.0 and also tested with 2.1. No way.
- MakeCD Play Audio tracks. Works 100%
Any idea for PlayCDDA?
Thanks
indeed I always wondered why cds/dvds came with a 4 wire audio out when we send everything over the bus ;)
snoopdos time
@cosmicfrog
Of course, I know.
I have one DVD connected to the Audio connector of my A4000D mobo.
But I'm interested to play all from the SCSI directly.
MakeCD works fine. But don't have a good Gui to play CD's (or maybe I don't know, is my first time testing MakeCD).
Thanks
@merlinkv
try the playCD that comes with IDEFix97 - that I find works well -
also there is a PlayCD program with AmiCDFS240
that should get you sorted my friend =)
@Zetr0
I have installed the AllegroCDFS comes with my FastATA MK-V
So, I installed IDE-Fix 97 everything seems to be OK but PlayCD cames with IDE-Fix all time says a "Play Error"
Of course I changed the MountLists and I try using the ML generated by IDE-Fix.
PlayCD of IDF recognizes fine the Audio CD, tracks, playing time..... But not play CD's
MakeCD continues playing 100%
personally I would drop the AllegroCDFS to be honest - I had nothing but trouble with it on my A1200 via native IDE or FastATA - ghastly program.
I shall try and get a play with the PlayCD (from IDEFix) with my SCSI on my A2000 see if I can get any joy.
In regards to PlayCD of IDF - is it trying pull the audio data down the SCSI bus or is it playing it from the audio out on the Optical Drive?
Its obviously possible that it can be jigged to work as MakeCD works perfectly.... hmmm I shall ponder this.
@Zetr0
All time I'm testing only from the SCSI bus.
I have one problem with IDE-Fix. After installation HDToolBox hungs the System.
Maybe a conflict with the FastATA drivers? I'm very happy with the FastATA, of course is a PIO board (not a DMA), but drives works fast at PIO4.
I will try again....., and again......
Well,
Solved the issues with FastATA & IDE-Fix drivers, both coexists now without conflicts. :)
I found another way to play from SCSI bus.......
Installing the CDDA-FileSystem (Aminet) and making a separate Mountlist for each drive (only mounted when needed), the AmigaOS recognizes each track like an .iff file. So, it's possible to play directly from AMPlifier & other players.
I maked all tests without any audio cable connected on the drives.
