    Default PLA 906114-01 substitute --> EPROM 27C512 based is back!

    EPROM REPLACEMENT (27C512)

    .....Unfortunately many inaccuracies are read about Eprom as a substitute for PLA. A correct Eprom works very well and without glitch problems

    TESTED SUCCESFULLY ON THESE C64 ASSY MODEL:

    - 250407 REV B
    - 250407 REV C
    - 250425
    - 250466
    - Tested up today succesfully also on 23pcs Silver label
    - Tested up today succesfully also on 7pcs SX64

    It works without any problems with "SUPER ZAXXON" cartridge as you can see from this video --> https://youtu.be/G07V43b871M

    Why you have to choose this PLA substitute and not another solution?

    a) It costs 30% 65% less than the XC9536XL XILINX based CPLD or similar (referred with thick pins configuration)
    b) Draws only 4mA...80% less than the XC9536XL XILINX based CPLD or similar
    c) Produces only 26C heat (piece of ICE) with 24C of room temperature,30% less than the XC9536XL XILINX based CPLD or similar
    d) No Capacitor needed for CASRAM

    AND...

    e) Made only using HIGH QUALITY Ceramic Eprom from my old stock

    f) Gold plated thick pins for best reliability and longevity.
    The pins are 0.018" (0.46mm) instead 0.024" (0.61mm) (available even with thick pins with only 2€ extra) Only 1€ extra...that is the strip line value
    g) Each individual units fully tested before shipping

    PLA available --> more than 200pz ---> 74 pz
    Payment --> Paypal friend

    FINAL PRICE WITH SHIPPING INCLUDED

    Europe--> 11€
    America --> 12€
    Australia --> 13€

    Shipping cost for one piece. For more pieces, I will provide you with the correct price based on weight

    @Edit 10 April 2020

    - New PLA Version V 2.0
    - High quality PCB material with extreme and super slim layout (only 37.6mm X 19mm)
    - High precision round pin
    - PCB designed for double Vsupply filtering and set up to mount CASRAM capacitor (PCB available for sell without Eprom). CASRAM capacitor not necessary for this PLA!

    So you seem to have found a (E)PROM that works just as well as the M27C512-90B6 from ST did. I suppose it was only a matter of time.

    May I dare to ask which make/model is it exactly?

    Does it work well with FastLoad too ? (hysteresis on inputs)

    Of course if you don't have a means of delaying CASRAM then it won't work with boards 326298 and 250407 before REV. B but I suppose a simple 74HCT14 (use 2 gates) added on the board underneath could do the trick.

    Yes it works without any problem as M27512-90B6.
    As you know there are a lot of fake China on the market (Winbond for example)...but even ceramic Eprom.

    I'm sorry for this but this information is reserved...it takes me a lot of time to find it

    I'll have to try it
    Anyway as you know there are a lot of people that are using the C64 at "basic level" and who sometimes need a cheapest solution

    Based on their ASSY everyone must look for the compatible replacement PLA.
    However I also make available the original PLA (906114-01) in addition to the N82S100. A simple heat sink and PLA "gallops" for another 30/40 years without any problems. But this is an expensive solution? Yes ok (39 €) but the only real one possible for 8Bit lovers / collectors
