A new bootable low cost Hard Disk interface compatible with Atari ST family computers,
and tested on a 520ST TOS 1.04, 1040STFM TOS 1.04, 1040STE TOS 1.06, 1040STE TOS 1.62 and 1040STE with TOS 2.06; with ok results.

Results: The ACSI2STM works perfectly; such example loading the current Metal Slug port takes around 4 - 5 seconds (aprox. 1 MB/s).
Tested against old SD cards, such 1 GB card; 4 GB SDHC and 8 GB SDHC. All these are detected and works correctly!

Operation video,

A video from the user PSIQ, many thanks!

Writing and reading from the hard disk interface:

On the last video, a game running from hard disk is shown; with "/" key, a savestate is created. After successful hard disk file writing, the game is closed pressing "*" key, and the STE system returns to desktop. A copy of the generated GS00.TOS file is created, renaming it to GS01.TOS; finally the game is resumed loading the copy of the savestate, GS01.TOS . All these operations are performed correctly.

The bootable hard disk image (DOS & TOS compatible, readable on Windows), can be obtained from atari 8 bit chip ( name: DiskImgPP1 ), or ask when you buy;

You can use Win32DiskImager (Windows) in order to write it.

The ST / STE with a hard disk is another world!

Each unit is completely built and tested,
price is 36€ + tracked shipment (6.5€ for Spain or 10.5€ for Europe - America, EE.UU. ; Japan, Australia, Alaska, Asia and Canada 11.5€) (New Zealand users - 12.5€ tracked shipment).

Lower cost and better SD card compatibility than any Satan disk, and much lower price than UltraSatan.
Its the Atari ST hard disk suitable for the masses,

Current performance of the PCB track impedance version (February 2022):

Days ago, I finished a research to improve the performance, using the same stable and highly compatible firmware.

A redesign of the PCB tracks, and using a minimalistic SD card reader, lets the device reach around 1 MB/s

Edit:
Declaring interest.

Also, the images in the first post don't appear, at least in my case.

The image links do not work anymore. :(

Does it need an external power supply?

Thanks for reporting the problem with images!

Yes, it needs a power supply with a micro USB connector; as mobile phones.

Will this be available for some time or is it "now or never"?

You can endorse a manufacturing queue list,

Currently, there is a problem with providers; some of them sent "empty packages"; today Ebay refunds me; but these sort of practices produce large undesired and frustrating delays,

any update on availability for those who expressed interest (a month ago..)?

From 70 expected units, only 20 can be received soon (if the seller is a legit one); due to a 30 units package was empty, and another 20 units where delivered as an empty package too... although I can obtain refund; these units are most important than refund.

Ebay sellers were Horizon and Alice-module; stay away from them,
