I designed an updated PCB for this great Arduino based Amiga floppy disk reader/writer project by Robert Smith (GPLv3). And also designed a small 3D printed case for it. (My previous pcb model was on sale here: https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?96557-Arduino-Amiga-Floppy-Disk-Reader-Writer-(V2) )

Design is based on: https://amiga.robsmithdev.co.uk/instructions/promini
Download link to reader&writer software: https://amiga.robsmithdev.co.uk/ADFReaderWriter25.zip
This model also supports winuae preview build: https://amiga.robsmithdev.co.uk/winuae

Included:
- Arduino Pro based Floppydisk Reader/Writer(Application V2.5, Firmware V1.8 hardware (see first two pictures)).
- short floppy cable

Not included (you need to source them yourself):
- mini usb cable for connecting device to PC
- normal PC floppy drive
- 5V power adapter for your country (as you can get them from ebay for like 3-5€)

Payment Paypal friends&family or IBAN transfer. Due to Covid limiting air traffic the delivery time is a lottery between 1 to 9 weeks (I always ship the next business day after receiving the payment).

Price: 32€
Priority shipping (not registered) for EU countries: 3.9€
Priority shipping (not registered) for non-EU countries 8€

Hi Jonni,
I bought the other v2.5 version of the PCB from you a few days ago (yet to arrive). What changes compared to this? Can it possibly be updated?
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply.

The two units sent were already same as these new v2.5 versions (just different color cases), so no need to update. I just didn't have this sale thread up yet.

will you be doing the all in one external USB version ?

Or a version where you can connect a USB diskdrive to instead of the ribbon cable models?

That wouldn't be possible, the arduino needs to connect internally on the drive's PCB, and the drive's USB bridge or interface is not used anymore, the arduino's USB interface is used, at least from I what I gathered from a quick look.

Interested, sending PM.

I am interested in 1 Unit. Please PM me with the details

Also is the 3D Printed case included? Are the files available in case I want to print in a different color? Thanks

Thanks

replied details in PM. And yes, case is included and I can send .stl files if you want to print in different color.

Question: What is the purpose of the jumper on the circuit board?

For some disk drives's the usb power is enough to run them, so if you connect the jumper then USB VCC is used to run the drive (DO NOT use external power plug at the same time). If you connect the jumper I recommend that you tape over the external plug just to avoid accidents :)
