    Default Project a4000/parts...

So, I'm looking for a bit of a troubleshoot/repair project and, since I'd like an a4000D but don't have a ton of $$$ to spend outright, I thought that I might combine the two!

I'm looking for an inexpensive a4000D; can be a loft rescue, whatever, as along as it has a reasonable chance of working again. Or, a good system with some niggling issues that need to be sorted out before it's whole.

Alternatively, I'm after parts to build one, starting with case and motherboard.

I'm still in the "figuring this out" phase, so drop me a note/pics with whatever you've got, and what you're asking for them, or suggestions to consider!

    Thanks!

I have a very clean 4000D 040 that works fine but due to battery leakage the RTC does not work. Works fine otherwise and RAM registers fine. Case is a little beat up (top metal case not face) not yellowed. Keyboard is in bad shape. Make an offer. I am in Tacoma!
