    Default Amiga 600

A few of you might be aware of a swap that I did with macwhoelse. Link here http://amibay.com/showthread.php?t=9283
Anyway the machine needed a bit of cheering up so here is a before and after.

    6 hours of retrobrite and..

Looks almost new now. . I was very careful this time not to over do the grey keys so the attention given to them was very light.

    @ Jimbo1979

That's what your A1200 case and keys look like now..... The colour of your case now matches the badge.... Two days of loving Retr0bright care has worked wonders.

I need to get into the loft this week to find that German keyboard for your 'Esc' key. I'll get that sorted, then it's a coat of clear acrylic and it'll all be on it's way back to you.

The future's so Retr0bright, I gotta wear shades.....

You sir are a star Can't wait to see what she looks like, I took loads of before pictures so my baby will be in this thread very soon

Thanks for finding an ESC key and doing the acrylic Did you find any blanks at all? It doesn't matter if not, I think the black ones make it stand out a little bit. Anyway thanks for doing this for me you are a star my friend.

    Tell you what.

Assuming that I find that German keyboard, what I'll do is put your keys onto that one, so that I should end up with no blank or missing keys and I'll send it back to you assembled and ready to go.

    Does that sound OK?

Yes please that sound's cool, if you can find the beast. When you get a total postage cost let me know and I will send you the funds

How come the German keyboards don't have those blanks, better still what the hell are the blanks even for. Never really thought or looked for the answer. If you find that keyboard do you want my springs etc to replace yours? I wont need them again.

    Thanks m8

Until I find that German keyboard, I can't answer that one. I am assuming that the German QWERTZ layout still has some blank white keys; I could be wrong though...

I can install the keys and retain all of the springs except for the Esc and blank keys, but we can work that out when it's ready to ship.

if any German AmiBayers are reading this, could you please post a picture of a German A1200 keyboard, just for reference?

    Thanks

    Hmm... no blank keys....

    @ Jimbo1979

I've found my German keyboard but alas, no 'Esc' key is on it....the right Amigakey has also gone. All of the other spare keyboards I have are A600 ones and the keys aren't interchangeable.

Sorry....can anyone else help James out with an 'Esc' key and spring?
