    I've found my German keyboard but alas, no 'Esc' key is on it....the right Amigakey has also gone. All of the other spare keyboards I have are A600 ones and the keys aren't interchangeable.

    Sorry....can anyone else help James out with an 'Esc' key and spring?
    Hey

    No worries at all Thanks for looking. I will just fit the black ones for now and grab a set from somewhere at a later date. Would you mind if I posted the 3 keys to you for some action when I get around to getting some.

    Can you PM me what I owe please sir

    Thanks again for doing all this for me

    I took your pic and used one of mine for a before and after. It was actually more yellow then I first thought.

    In actual fact it was mega yellow. Shocked how she looks now

    Default Overcooked?

    Well, I think I'm done retr0brighting my A500, but I also think it may be a little overcooked

    Take a look at these pictures (sorry I don't have a good "before" pic -- they were taken indoors and don't really show the true colouring). From a couple of feet away, it looks great. If you look at it with a certain angle, you can see some strange patterns. Not sure if this is the blooming that others have experienced, but I don't think it's supposed to look like this!

    Oh, I use volume 40 peroxide, diluted to 10%, along with Xantham, Glycerine and Oxyclean. First it sat outside in the sun for about 3 hours with cling wrap. Still had some yellowing, so I gave it about 5 hours indoors under some blacklights. I figured it could probably use one more round, so I put it outside today for another 3 hours. These strange patterns appeared after round 2 & don't seem to have gotten any worse after round 3.

    Anyhow, is this the dreaded bloom or is something else going on here?

    Thanks!!

    Blooming because:

    1-too much peroxide;
    2-way too long exposure to the formula;
    3-liquid peroxide contains terpanes or other ingredient that attacks the plastic.

    Ah well, c'est la vie! It was a learning experience -- I'll just have to find a replacement case at some point as the innards all work perfectly. Even with the blooming, I think it's an improvement. At least it looks "clean" now!

    Just curious, but do you mean I applied too much peroxide or the concentration was still too high?

    Concentration, of course. Or a too long exposure.
