In my quest for a reasonable project to learn KiCAD, I spent some time creating new ROMY PCBs. Check out the github page here: https://github.com/reinauer/amiga-romy
There is an A4000 version that leaves a lot of space for air flow, as well as an A3000 version that plugs into the PLCC socket of FAT GARY, so it does not require desoldering the through-hole PLCC socket on the Amiga 3000.
The latest version though, is the "Ultimate ROMY", which does away with the PLCC GAL in favor of the much nicer TSOP footprint. Also, the same PCB can be used to build the A4000 (clip-on socket) and A3000 (PLCC plug) versions.
I've been making a few of these, so don't hesitate to reach out.
I'm waiting for the last iteration of this project to arrive, a version of Ultimate Romy that exposes A19-A21 for use in older (ROM tower) Amiga 3000 and for use with 4MB (E)EPROMs. There's also a script that helps you create larger kickstart images on Linux in above github repo.
