Scored a complete boxed Railroad Tycoon last saturday in very good condition for just one continental coin, and 4 tickets for Pearl Jam in Amsterdam next year (254 euros, ouch....)
Got myself the new Nokia Lumia Windows phone. Gotta say, I'm loving it.

Well I got my DKB3128 thanks to McVenco and the Retina Z3 thanks to Amiga-Digital and on the clubday there were 3 auctions, I had dibs on this:
The 3000UX went to Amiga-Digital and an A1200 with Blizzard 1230 to Rischa.
I also bought this A2000, but this was no auction, just a direct sale.

Wonderful Indonesia
Loved to get one too. They don't sell it here yet and this is the bloody country, where the bloody headquarters is.Of course I could get one from Amazon but 500 € is quite an investment for an unemployed. Therefore I have to wait until they start selling it here so I can get an operator locked one or get some other make.
I'm currently studying Windows Phone 7 programming so I'd like to have a real hardware to test my software bits and pieces.

Gone but not forgotten. RIP John.
@Johnim. Galaxy S II is a very nice phone, but also check out the latest Sony Xperia phones. Very nice phones... very slim, 8MP camera with great image quality and 3D panarama support and loads of other features, plus Sony are supporting their Xperia range very well, releasing Android updates pretty quickly across the range with new features each time, and early in the new year they are looking to release an IceCream Sandwich update for the whole range, so very nice. Their phones also update OTA, whereas Samsung's don't and are a nightmare to update.
Back on topic...
I decided to upgrade my main PC's graphics card from its XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB XXX.
Picked up a nice new XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB Double D XXX today. Quite a bargain at Novatech. And if you don't know the XXX on these cards means they have been factory overclocked out of the box, and the Double D is a dual fan design, rather than the single fan reference AMD design for these cards, and it actually makes the card quieter as each fan doesn't need to move as fast, but keeps it cooler. Nice design.
I did some testing with SWTOR running at 2560x1440, and it has upped the fps from 29-35 with the 4870 to 56-89 with the 6950. So a nice improvement. The 2GB ram at such high resolutions also helps.![]()

Sat on my desk, I have a choice between an iPhone 4, Sony Xperia Play a Galaxy S 1 and Nokia Lumia 800. (Lucky me, tough decisions)
The iPhone: Whilst great, I'm bored with it tbh, nothing wrong at all with it. Just bored.
Xperia Play: Love this little fella, the control pad is great, but most of all, Sony really has made an android that feels different from the crowd. Not dual core, but feels slick and no slowdown on it at all. Overall a keeper, especially when Sony starts rolling out all the playstation downloads early next year)
Samsung Galaxy S (And S 2 which my mate has): Great phone, really quick, feels like a cheaper build iPhone with a way better spec. Not in a bad way, but the layout does lend itself to easy transitions for users of iphones to androids. The S2 feels too big for my pockets tbh. Great build quality on the S2 however. Just freaking hugs in your pocket.
Nokia Lumia 800: The hardware specs aren't groundbreaking (Same as Xperia Arc S for comparison), but Win Phone 7 OS doesn't feel as demanding on the phone as other OS's do. No slowdown while multitasking, runs games great (App store is lacking a tiny bit though). MS Office built in is pretty handy after only 1 days use. Camera is great, build quility is just insane and competes if not beats the iPhone 4 in that dept. Looks unique, this is the only phone I've had for about 4-5 years that people have said, 'wow, that looks cool, what is it?'
