Sony made some real nice stuff back in the day. I'm after a high-spec disc man but they go for silly money!

Cassettes are actually a really good way to get tons of music for dirt cheap. I don't have a Walkman, but I've been grabbing tapes at thrift stores to play on longer car rides. Most thrift stores price them at something like 1/4 to 1/3 the price they sell CDs at, so you can get dozens of albums for very little - which also makes it a great way to branch out and explore genres you otherwise might not bother with, including tons of stuff from local bands, or that never made it to CD or maybe had a very limited release.

Those older Walkmans are pretty cool. I had gotton my hands recently on a Walkman and a Discman from the local car boot sale.
