I don't believe that particular sticker is authentic. Yes, Commodore did retrofit labels, but they used better labels. If you look closely it looks fuzzy, apart from the fact that the machine did indeed come with a tape drive. This machine however has a 5.25" cover that has exact the same discoloration as the rest of the front cover, which would suggest it has always been there, and was the Original cover supplied with the machine.
Compare it to my label; which is completely identical to two other covers I have from the US; A 2500 and a 2000HD:

Hmm, I'd say yours is in better shape and still matching the color of the case. But you've got a point on the cover.
I'm still inclined to say it's original. But not as sure as I was at first.
Been away for a long time, time for comeback?
Did the actual A2500s have a silver tag at the rear saying A2000, or was it also named A2500 there?

Well, I am already taking Tahoe's offer to have closer look at it.
I know their are fake stickers being made, but these don't have that plastic foil as extra cover.
Mine has got that.
But I think I have got to put it back on the wishlist again and hope to spot one as good as Tahoe has, but I think that will be impossible.
The major problem is serial numbers, these can be completely random, but if we had a list than at least I could verify it.
This one came from Spain around 2008.
