Yamaha FB-01
I actually got this on Friday, but I was too excited about my MS-20 Mini and also too busy with moving to get around to mentioning it. It's a multitimbral 4-op FM synthesizer (basically the same sound hardware as in the Sega Genesis; unlike the DX11/TX81Z/V50, no additional waveforms for the operators.) It's actually pretty redundant to my V50, except for one factor: it's supported by old Sierra games (it's the module that forms the guts of the IBM Music Feature Card.) Between this and my MT-32, I'm pretty well set for music options on old SCI titles![]()

This should really go in my Freddy 800XL as the mobo is in far better shape than my standard 800XL but the former is still horribly unstable when it's upgraded... and I've only made one functioning New Brain.
Nice mate
Cant wait to see it in action.

Fabrics!
(Ignore the orange stuff - that's just a sample so that I could scope out the shade for a potential future piece. The brown is intended as a backing fabric for something else, and the red is for my current project.)

Been meaning to get an oscilliscope for forever. Finally got around to doing it when a guy on the Vintage Computer Forum had a couple in a lot of stuff he was selling, motivated by the fact that I need one for most of the diagnostics on a keyboard I'm fixing up. Happily enough, it turned out that the guy was already planning a trip out to Duluth, so I got it hand-delivered on Sunday and didn't have to pay for shipping
Now I just gotta learn my way around it...
