    Didn't have time to post this yesterday when I got it, but;

    I picked up a cracking solid brass Gromit keyring.

    Just got my DIY C64 diagnostics cart working
    Now I have to finish the dongles and harness.
    Also made a DIY composite cable out of a PS2 RCA video cable.
    Composite cable is good for testing because it works much better than S-Video cables on some LCD TVs.

    Dead test carts and diagnostic carts are NOT the same thing, diag carts only work if your Vic/64/128 is partially working including minimal video out.

    Dead test carts are virtually an external computer and usually plug into the various CPU, PLA & video chip sockets to analyze what is causing the motherboard to be inoperable.

    oh well,so much for my memory

    i think i did mention these have to be in a machine that boots to work.
    anyway,people who can fix these DONT need a diagnostic cartridge..
