Just got my DIY C64 diagnostics cart working
Now I have to finish the dongles and harness.
Also made a DIY composite cable out of a PS2 RCA video cable.
Composite cable is good for testing because it works much better than S-Video cables on some LCD TVs.

I believe it said 12v and 2 amps on the case.

there is loads of them on ebay,but they arnt much good without the wiring harness.
i think they used to be called dead carts?(i think thats what the engineers called them)

Dead test carts and diagnostic carts are NOT the same thing, diag carts only work if your Vic/64/128 is partially working including minimal video out.
Dead test carts are virtually an external computer and usually plug into the various CPU, PLA & video chip sockets to analyze what is causing the motherboard to be inoperable.
