Alright so I got this psu out of a network switch and it has the following specifications for output:

+5v/3A
+12v/0.75A

And on Ian Stedman's page I found the following for the CD32:

+5v/2A
+12v/0.5A

16W

The psu from the switch doesn't list the wattage but I found that wattage is VxA = W ??

So when you have +5v & +12v ... do you add them up? As in 12x0.75=9W plus 5x3=15w which makes a total of 24W?

Sorry, not very familiar with voltage, amperage, wattage :(

As long as your volts match up (+/-10%) and the psu you want to use has equal or more amperage, then you're fine (y)

Great ! Looks like this will work, hope to try it this weekend (y)

I know .. pictures right? :D

Right :)

oh, and yes, you multiply voltage with amps and get watts. Since those psu'
s have two lines (12v and 5v) you would add up the max. watts for each line.
