Im reading that the Mega Everdrive can load CD Bios roms for the Mega CD etc, does this mean you can load Jap and US bios files and load original cd's from those regions without any other mods required?

Yep,
Keep the cart in when its turned on and select the relevant bios.

Also works with "Other" Mega CD discs

There is also a region free bios around on the web that can load cd's from all regions instead of having to have seperate bios on your sd card
