Ok, it would be simpler to go to a neighborhood grocery store and buy lemon juice but I thought I'd ask since there are chemistry wizards <cough>Merlin<cough> here at the board.
Since I've got a bucket of crystallised citric acid, what kind of solution would be suitable for neutralizing battery gunk?

A saturated solution at 22C would be approx 1.3g/ml of water.

So 1g to 1ml should be fine...

Does depend on water temp, of course - so for 19C water .75g/ml would also be fine.

We have Citric Acid granular grade at work and if I'm making some up for circuit board cleaning, I would aim for a 10 to 20% solution.

So that would be around .2g/ml

OK, I stand corrected... :)
