Hey folks!

My pride and joy Retr0 system is my Victor WonderMega, this was probably my most wanted console that was out of reach from my childhood days and I bought one a couple of years ago, mint and boxed is probably the one console I would never dream of letting go!

I've been experimenting with various region free MegaCD/CDX, etc region free bios' and none work with the WonderMega, does anyone know if a hacked or region free Bios exists? I did find a ver1.0 WonderMega bios claiming to be region free but it does not work on mine, I'm loading it in from my Everdrive MD.

The Sega CD2 and Sega CDX Bios' (US and JP) load up and I can launch my PAL Games but they stop after the Sega Logo.

This is probably well outside the remit of most Amibayers but thought I'd ask here before searching for a more specialist forum.

Thanks in advance (y)

Steve.

Steve mate, have you tried the ones listed here?

From what i gather you have the mark 2 Wondermega (also called the X'Eye in the US).

The zip file contains region free bios for the US X'Eye and Japanese Wondermega

The download link takes you to 4shared.com which apparently needs an account to download so if you don't want to mess around with that i can send you the zip as i've already downloaded it.

Interesting... might do that on my CDX... do you get a different boot screen also?

edit: I see it's the same bios but hacked, not bad!
but the fact that you need to make a spaghetti monster inside the multimega/cdx is kind of annoying...

Hey guys, thanks for the link Scrappy, the tried all those already as I found the archive last night. IIRC the CDX one hangs on the bios screen and does not load.

Maybe it's the wireless pad system that causes the issues? BTW, I don't have a wireless Pad, they're like rocking horse poop lol...

@Keropi, indeed you get a different boot pic with other Bios' which is pretty cool
