As IDE cables are straight through, as long as you reverse the pins on both ends you could put it the other way around anyway if you needed too, as I said, as long as it's reversed on both ends of the cable

A second option is to buy a 20cm ide cable. And let the cable go between vampire and motherboard. Im awaiting 20cm cable from aliexpressi try this first on aca620. Until vamp 600 arrives
I have tried to do the "other way around" with cable it works with cf card. But i got Sata adapter and ssd.
Third option is to buy a cf adapter with angeled female 44 pin connector and attach adapter to mobo without the ide cable. Im not 100% sure it would fit though
Edit:i mean fit between motherboard and vampire.
I can see if it fits since a got an female adapter @ home.

@majsta
Would it be possible to configure fpga to create a "fake" zorro card in zorro configuration space with a small ExpansionRom (that points to the code that adds ) that is executed by exec on boot so Expansion.library adds the memory in an os-friendly way?
Advantages: you would forget about messing with roms and legal issues, users could use any rom version, they could cook their own roms... it would improve compatibility with other OSes like AROS/BSD/Linux as these kernels will scan boards located in zorro2/3 configuration space.

I originally brought a DOM but I had a tough time connecting it to my PC to load images of previous Amiga OS installs. When using a CF this comes in very handy if anything goes wrong. If I have trouble fitting the CF ill revisit the DOM route.
Hi
It was possible to get one Vampire? If yes... i want to buy it.
Thanks

Any word if it is compatable with the A604A / Rapid Road USB controller?
Thanks
