Its a recaped A600 rev 1.5, nothing else in it - just the vampire.
was getting same here until i done as post 1 and sanded the vampire socket, my vampire was springing itself off the socket no matter how much i pressed. now it sorta sticks on and with the 2 screws it don't move,, no more red screens.

Received my Vampire today, thanks a lot. I didnt prepare hard disk in my Amiga 600 yet, but I booted Workbench from floppy and everything seems ok. So many digits when I see my fast ram on top

I experienced exactly the same problem. The Vampire didnt keep its position on the 68k CPU. So I had to modify the socket - Vampire sits very stable on the 68k CPU now. But I didnt used the screws, its tight enough.
The 68k CPU on this mainboard has already been resoldered by me - that was befor I used the Furia V2 in it. Now I just took out the Furia and fitted the Vampire in. But it still doesnt work...

If you have USB blaster, please contact Majsta. With it he can check the plcc socket's connection.

    .
We have several options so don't worry. Either we test what's wrong with usb blaster or I send you another Vampire and all good. If you soldered CPU I simply can't tell what is wrong until I test it

Thanks for all the replies. I will have a closer look at my socket - maybe I damaged it. Let me check this.

It seems that this coul be my fault.
One of the contacts are broken next to the drilled in gap. I will replace the socket and will report again.

Kipper2k can be slow in responding to emails, but he and his products are top notch. Just be patient and he'll get to you.

I found some spare time to play with Vampire2 and there is something strange. When I switch on the power supply, everything is perfect I can leave my Amiga on even 3 days and Vampire2 working like a charm but when I do at least one reset from keyboard or from c:reset I am getting red screen which appear for few seconds (sometimes green) and Amiga is not restarting anymore. Only switch off and switch on power supply helps. So basically there is everything ok but I cannot make any restart. If I want to make a restart I need to switch off and switch on power supply. Does anybody has same problem? Here I uploaded a video to see this problem:

Added: is that correct thread or is it only for preorders?
