Last year I recreated the Z80 8-bit Universal IDE interface for my ZX Spectrums +2A and +3. This interface works with ZX Spectrum +2A/B & +3 and also with 48K & 48K+. You can read more about the interface itself on the World of Spectrum website there: https://www.worldofspectrum.org/for...y-re-creacton-of-the-z80-8-bit-universal-ide#.

I've still got some PCB left and they are available now for sale as follows:

The DIY kit with all components:
  1. PCB of the colour of your choice (red, yellow, blue or green)
  2. Transistor Q1
  3. Logic gate IC
  4. Resistors
  5. Capacitors
  6. 2x20 pin connector (right angled)
  7. 1x2 pin connector for LED
  8. 40 pin IC socket
  9. 1x40 pin header
  10. LED with a wire
The DIY kit price: £8.00

Fully assembled and tested unit.

  2. Single EPROM (27C256) for 48K - £1.75

With packing & postage cost as follows

What are your thoughts on TS 2068 compatibility. Would I be able to get the 48K ROM and effectively get an IDE controller and emulator in one go?

As long as You'll get a patched rom - it will work

If you go with the moded ROM for ZX Spectrum 48K, Pera Putnik's version, yes it will work. Another solution for TS2068 would be using the TS-2068 128K interface from Don "Supefo" and the +3e ROM on it. To be honest I have not tested with TS2068 yet, because I haven't got any and they are very rare in Europe.

@sjwaller: Replied to your PM. We will be in touch. Thanks a lot.

Many thanks.

Feedback on it's way now.

Best wishes

Hi

I'm interested in 2 of these with blue PCB Fully assembled + one kit of two EPROMs (27C256) for +2A/B & +3 and a single EPROM (27C256) for 48K.

Thanks

PM on its way

I'd be interested in one kit, but i haven't done my 'homework'! Am i to understand that for a 48k Spectrum you need a 27C256? Is this correct?

First time to see such device and WOS is down for the moment.
I would like to ask how you can load games, I mean does it support TAP files?

Thanks.
