Hello,

These chips and other Commodore chips were bought from de storage of Commodore Netherlands
that was going bankrupt in 1996

I got this collection for 16 years on my attic, safely put away in antistatic tubes, they were never used.
All these chips are labled with 6581R4AR with date stamp code 4486 (week44,1986), so they are from the same stock.

For sale:

20 x 6581 R4AH (these are very rare)

Tested and working 100%

25 € Paypal as gift

Free Shipping

Price is for one SID chip

Hi there,

I am new to this forum and have been away from real 64's for way too long but really miss all that great music I used to listen to. I have dug out my old breadbin 64 and the SID is dead.

Can someone please explain if this chip will do the trick?
I have also read that there are a lot of fake chips around too and would hate to make a mistake.

I love all the old Hubbard, Galway, Follin and company stuff and want the best chip for the job really.

I would have thought people would have been all over this but it seems a little quiet. Is there any reason not to buy one of these?

Many thanks,

Any 6581 should do the trick in reviving your breadbin, these R4AR are said to be the best 6581 sid's that were made. The answer to your second question is tricky as answering it could be considered as something that is not allowed on this forum.

Think it could be the shipping cost that is causing the lack of interest?

Is the shipping registered? I think that the offer is great, these are not only NOS SIDs but also the "R4AR" revision which sounds *stronger*. :)

Cheers,
Oge

Don't chuck out that dead SID! If you don't have a use for it I think I will for a friend of mine. :)
