You people scare me a little :)

You people scare me a little :)

I've been reading through this thread (hey, I have no life) and have come to the conclusion that I have nothing and cannot even talk on the same level as you.

It's going to be interesting being a part of this community.

These arrived on the same day - concidence ? I think not.

Both overpriced, but so gorgeous I couldn't resist!

Don't worry. The fact that you are here means that you'll soon own a lot more than you ever intended to buy. It's what happens here :D

Bryce.

Well, I went retro shopping today. Mix of retro shops and charity shops / cash converters etc.

First, I did a trip to Rugby (not far from Cov), to visit a friend I met at a car boot last year. I previously bought some games from him and he said he had his original PC-E he imported back in the day. Absolutely fantastic guy. I took my lil' CRT down, plugged it all up, and worked straight out the box. I paid him the going rate, exactly what he asked, which I was happy with and I didn't feel the need to haggle. The game on the left doesn't work (white screen) but I don't even know what it is, so if anyone knows that would be great. Also, Fantasy Zone isn't in the box but he has 9 more boxes to unpack from moving house so if he finds it he'll post it to me.

The SNES Jr I bought from http://www.oldskoolkonsoles.com/ - arrived today and it looks fantastic. Gotta say the 'high quality' RGB cable was poor, as it caused a lot of buzzing. Luckily my GC RGB cable works and looks fantastic.

The GBA SP was from a cash converters. Priced a stupidly low price for some insane reason so I had that. I'll clean it and my niece can play on it (I have a grey one currently for her but pink is nicer!).

The Nikko car was from a charity shop, it's in great condition with all the instructions etc. Very cheap but I bought it for my niece to play with. (there's one more Nikko car there if anyone wants it let me know).

Two more Wii games to add to my collection. Overkill is a replacement as mine is bad condition. And Full Spectrum Warrior, which I hope works on the 360 else I'll cry. It was the first game I bought when I had an original xbox back in the day (albeit late, and second hand). Great game.

Ah my bad. The one which has what looks like a "Grandma Lemming" with white hair and the devil with a club :/ (The game to the left of Altered Beast). Just gives me a white screen :( Have cleaned the contacts but no go :(

Ah, well done :) At least I know what it is now, thanks for that Savior. Doesn't look like I'm missing too much heh.

TG16 is my favorite 4th gen system, i actually prefer it to Genesis and SNES, I have 2, as well as a TurboExpress and a TurboEverdrive (the only one i have bothered to get so far)

Military Madness is one of the best turn based strategy games ever.

Thanks for the heads up Savior, I'll definitely give that one a look. I am planning on getting a ED for it. I was quite surprised by the quality of the RF out on it, its not too bad. I do have an RGB amp scart on the way for it.

Graham, nice looking set of games there :) What Atari machine are they intended for?

Atari 800xl or 65XE.

My favourtie games are BMX, Green beret, Henry House and Zebex(finished that game 29 years ago!)

Gaunlets? that take about 30 mins loadings and if I lose a lives then I have reload it for 30 mins! LOL

ZAX ICD-378, Z80 In-Circuit Debugger! very cool bit of hardware. has a brushless fan on the back that sounds like a 747 warming up. its crazy loud.

Added a stereo audio mod to my spectrum +2, fairly easy to install (getting better with the old soldering iron)... makes a huge difference, going to order another for my +3
