Hardly an "operation", making a fun sticker with someone's date of birth/military/or even name as a case sticker. But obviously you feel threatened by the 24 euros "income" I have generated in 7 months, which has only covered the material costs.

I have never even heard of A1200.NET nor referred to it. I was asked to make a kickstarter case sticker, which I did.

This thread can be closed, I won't be making anything else for anyone.

Dear mrr19121970,

You seem to have taken offense by Amenophis his response.. but you shouldn't have as he is merely pointing out that we like and support projects that are somehow connected to ours.. I am surprised to read you you state you never heard of A1200.NET (The entity behind the Amiga 1200 Case Kickstarter project).. but never mind.. we are in no way angered or insulted.. we merely wanted to point out that making money of things with a brand on it, could get one into trouble.. not by us as such.. but by those who hold the trademark.

I hope this clarifies the matter accordingly.

Well it started off when one guy wanted to replace his C64G sticker. So I drew one and printed it on silver foil. This lead requests for a C64R serial sticker and a Kickstarter sticker. Different people scanned or photographed a label they wanted and I drew it, printed and hand cut it. This is why I have never heard of A1200.net.

The idea is to help out retro hobbyists, and I only offer in the closed community here. The amount of effort it takes in time and materials doesn't warrant doing it. I see it as a favour for others. This is why I have taken offence at this seemingly threatening posting.

I understand.. well.. rest assured there is no hard feelings or any form of animosity from our side.. but anything can be google'd even though it is a closed community.. hence pointing out the trademark part.

For us it is foremost important that people know the case we provide comes with a sticker and the serial number is needed in case there is an issue with your case. We match the Serial Number to the buyer and the type of case.. without it.. it is going to be a logistical nightmare.

.../... This is why I have taken offence at this seemingly threatening posting.

Dear mrr19121970,

I fail to see any offence or threat in my previous post.

I was merely pointing out that:
  • Any project/action related to any of our KS campaign or products, project manager of such actions should actually contact us beforehand as to be fair.
  • The use of IP and Trademark material could bring issues to such project/action manager.
  • I did said that "A1200NET are not going to refrain mrr19121970 to manufacture or sell serial stickers" - So no threat of any kind here.

Personally i do think that what you're doing is a cool idea but as such it raised some issues we're concerned about:
- You're using Trademark material and doing so you could potentially get into trouble because you're "selling" these (even if it is just covering your expenses)
- Concerned about backers if eventually one of them return his case with your serial sticker (tracking issues for us)

And so it was important to point out these in my previous message.

Again, please continue if you'd like to as it's really up to you.
Just using AMIGA & COMMODORE is troublesome and you should be aware of that.

Cheers
Phil

Here is a fun idea. A case sticker for your kickstarter A1200 case?

Just tell me what serial number you want, say 1 or anything you can imagine

Yes please! I was talking about this very issue yesterday on a Youtube video where I unboxed my new case. Now all I need is a proper Commodore A1200 case label instead of the grotty Amiga 1200 one they included. Will DM!
