Golden TV SCART Cable (PAL/NTSC) that works with any Commodore 64 or Commodore 128.

While this item has similar features compared to the Deluxe TV SCART Cable already listed here on AmiBay, it also features a robust round gold cable (which is pretty appealing and looks great) and a stronger Chroma modification which furtherly improves compatibility with newer LCD televisions. It is longer, too.

Features as follows:
S-VIDEO:
Also known as S-VHS, represent the best video mode when it comes to C64/C128 systems

CHROMA MODIFICATION (V2.0):
Improves compatibility with newer LCD TVs. Compared to the Deluxe TV SCART Cable, the Chroma Modification was made stronger in order to furtherly accomodate the S-Video signal to standards. Of course, the Cable will also work with classic CRT TVs
CHROMAREVO (

):

ChromaREVO makes possible to display S-Video on TVs which fail to display it even using the Chroma Modification. If you think that you own a troublesome TV (or you are unsure about its capabilities) request ChromaREVO instead of Chroma Modification: its benefits applies to both CRT and LCD TVs and it has been proved to just work everywhere

STEREOSID (DUAL MONO):
The audio output is doubled to both Left (L) and Right (R) channels. This modification is rather simple but pretty important as several TVs will not upmix the mono signal coming out from the SID
AUDIO NOISE REMOVAL (SID ANTI-NOISE):
Thanks to the usage of an appropriate capacitor noises, hisses and hums are erased

STRONG:
DIN Connector internally potted with silicone in order to resist against traction and intense use
HIGH QUALITY:
Soldering done with Audio Grade Solder for optimal conductivity and highest quality of the signals

PRICE: €14,00
SHIPPING: EU (€6,30); Outside EU (€8,20)

It looks like the Chroma Modification is not enough for your LCD TV. Dunno if attenuating it even more would help, PMed you in order to know better about this issue.

It seems that your TV handles S-Video but C64 Chrominance is still too strong.

I dont know ogre but... I tried the cable on 3 different TV
1)LG Flatron LCD 24'' full hd 1080p (purple and black whit strange effects and noise audio)
2)Sony Bravia LCD 42'' HD 1080i (purple and black with strange effect and noise audio)

3)Panasonic Viera 65'' 3D Full HD 1080p better on this only some purple and green on the top of the screen

I dont know what tv use the other guys but on lcd & plasma ... there are problems with croma colors

Thank you for the having test it on different LCDs, a replacement with a different Golden Cable is on your way.

I've been using mine with the XRGB Mini, a Sony 40" inch LCD and a Cambridge Audio amp, quality is spectacular, close to RGB with very minimal ghosting on the image (like, stick your nose up to the screen to see it ghosting). There's a tiny, tiny tiny bit of audio noise if I crank the amp right up, but absolutely minimal and way less than my old cable. In fact it was so quiet when I first used it I thought sound was not working :)

Highly recommended!
