As title I need a power supply for a PAL Sega Multi Mega. Would prefer an official one but would take an appropriate generic one. The rating is 9.5V 1300mA and must have a UK plug on it.

Let me know what you have to offer.

Edit: I've read in one place a Mega drive 2 PSU does the job, but somewhere else I read the rating was not enough to power the CD portion of the console, can anyone confirm any of this for me?

Can I have some opinions as to whether this is would be a suitable replacement?

The voltage is the same and this psu can supply a higher amperage. The tip looks like to correct one too but I can't tell if it's centre negative, any ideas you electrical wizards?

That's centre positive, so you would need to remove the tip and replace it.

Is that a straight forward job? I would normally of got Bad_Ad84 but he is not taking any work on for a while. Would you be interested?

It's literally a 5 second job. You can send it to me if you like and I'll do it. But you'll have to send it to my work address as I am moving house at the moment.

That is centre positive, which is good news as it means I don't have to do anything to the PSU.
I'll check that the dimensions are correct and send it onto you.

You might be right, It looks to be the correct dimensions too. 1.7mm and 4mm

I'll forward it onto you chap.

Found as I bought a laptop psu off ebay to do the job. Thanks to r0jaws for his help.
