Owned this from new but now offering for sale to make space.
There are no pens but a search on this site found the following US based supplier (unverified by myself), there may be others out there - http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/laser_printers.htm. Look for the text Best Atari Tech Tip: The Atari 1020 Color and Black Plotter pens will also work in the following other product brands that use the same printer mechanism. Casio FA-11, Commodore 1520, Tandy CGP-115, Sharp CE-150, TI HX-1000 and HX-1000BL Printers / Plotters.
I have turned the plotter on and tested that the buttons work. On power-up the plotter goes through the power up cycle as best I can recall (cycles though pens and draws a square in each color - at least it would if there were any pens installed
). Occasionally the printer head gets stuck when turning on and you get a warning noise but it used to to that from new so I guess that its just a feature - turning it off/on again fixes.
I do have a video of it booting up/testing buttons and can provide if you send me your email.
Original Box, Original cable to connect to a Commodore 64. Power cable also included but I am not sure if it's the original.
Just to add that I couldn't find the original manual having moved house a number of times but I will forward if I ever do (I generally keep everything, so it is around somewhere ... !)
Price : £35 + postage (no guarentee due to age).
