Hey folks:). Here today we have 2 1 AV modded Atari 2600's for sale. Both are North American NTSC models and come as modified base units only. Both have 110/120V USA power supplys which are not tested due to me not having a step down transformer so I am throwing these in free as untested. Each will also include an AV cable. You will notice a distrete little stereo socket has been added to the back of each machine,... this is the AV out. Neat hey, and more in keeping with the asthetic of the Atari than some hulking great RCA connectors:D. Apart from being AV modded both machines have beed fully refurbished and are in excellent condition. There are no games with either as I don't really have any spare NTSC games sorry.

I am looking for £50 plus postage for each Atari assuming payment as GIFT or buyer covers fees

If you require a UK power supply I can include a UK 9V 1A psu for £5

Hi BB,

Could I reserve woody until tomorrow night so that I can check my finances tomorrow, would also like the UK PSU if that is ok?

Cheers

Hi BB,

What display do I have to have to use the AV mod 2600 on. I have a Phillips 8833 MkII do you think that will work ?

Most of my consoles are RGB 60hz which is not an issue, I am not sure what this mod does to the output.

Cheers

Whilst that monitor will handle 60hz it wont handle the NTSC colour pallet. Tbh you'll be fine with any standard TV be it CRT, LCD or plasma as long as it can handle NTSC which most TV's do these days anyway and because you want to use the Harmony you shouldn't have cart compatibility issues.

I should be getting a 29" SONY TRINITRON CRT on Friday would hope that that would support NTSC, I will be home from work around 6pm where I will be in-touch to get your PAYPAL details.

Now need to source a Harmony.

So are you defo having it then bud as I will need to delist it from the other site it is advertised on?

Also I am intending to start a group buy for the harmony cart if you're interested and are able to wait for a group buy to run it's course. It'd mean you'd have to make do with commercial carts till then but it's up to you.

Yes sorry was a bit cryptic in my response. Please de-list from the other bay and I will PM you for your PAYPAL info tonight when I get home.

I would be interested in the group buy for sure.

Cheers

4 Switch Woody sold to Gatecrasher and payment has been received

Vader model still available

The Vader has sold elsewhere so mods could you please mark this thread as sold.

Just awaiting feedback from Gatecrasher now - I know you're waiting on an NTSC cart mate ;)

Hi, I think the cart is waiting for me at the post office, I should get a chance to get this tomorrow and test tomorrow night.

Cheers

Hi BB,

NTSC pole position looks better than the PAL carts, still looks like it need s a small tweak to clear up some of the shadows, is this possible with the av-mod is it not adjustable?

Cheers

Kevin

I'm not sure exactly what picture you're seeing but it may be possible to tweak the picture by adjusting the colour phase pot inside the 2600

See the plastic wheel directly below the on/off and B/W switches on the pcb.

Also depending on your TV you may need slight adjustment to optimise the output but do remember that you are never going to get Hi-Res quality here but it is the best that can be obtained from the 2600

I will give that a go, thanks for all your help. Any news on the Harmony 2 group buy. or when the H2 might be launched.

No problem buddy.
