I have one completely new, can send it for 12 euros with shipping.

Just a FYI - as this is in Amiga - assume you mean the Amiga RGB and floppy connector - yes ?

Well that connector is not a D-sub connector - its just (AFAIK) called D-shell . The confusion arises from the name of the VGA 15-pin connector - which IS called 15-pin D-sub. Thats to distinguish it from the old 15-pin D connector, which has the same pin spacing/density as 23-pin D, 9-pin D, 25-pin D etc.

Mentioning it cos it could well affect on-line searches ....

They are all "d-sub", there is a second letter to indicate the shape. The VGA connector would correctly be called DE-15.

But the 23-pin version is, as far as anyone has been able to determine, unique to the Amiga. The PCB mounted versions are particularly rare these days :(

Hmm .... well OK .... certainly back in the day we called them D-shell (not D-sub) - but maybe that wasn't accurate then. I _do_ remember the VGA connector referred to as HD-15 also (HD = High Density) - to distinguish from what in your diagram is DA-15.

D-Shell/D-Sub both the same but with 20+ years in the connector industry D-Sub is the more common term. As far as the 23 way D-Sub is concerned, it wasn't used just on the Amiga, we supplied them for use in the Bloodhoud Missile platform, lots of Boeing aircraft and even the ISS! (in a Mil Spec form)
