I need to replace some SIMM sockets on an memory/SCSI card, I think I can get away with 4 slots, but ideally I'd replace all 16 slots.

Does anyone know of a source that is selling these at a reasonable price?

I found a supplier in the USA that sells them for $2.80 a pop, but sadly, they will ONLY deal with a business, with a minimum order of $400 + UPS delivery, so not viable for my case.
Honestly, this company seems to have the market cornered on 30 pin simm sockets (90degree and 20 degree), however, not selling to individuals OR requiring a min order of $400 for companies ONLY is a bit odd. Its like I cant imagine these things are flying of the shelves eh...

Scare up 143 more folks and do a group buy?
This is that USA based company

Their price, per unit is $2.95, which would be ideal, as I need 16 of these, even so thats $47.2 + shipping to UK.

Now Analogic, are asking £16.66 for these dual sockets, BUT, these are cheaper, plastic sockets, and prone to breaking. Considering I need to replace plastic sockets, which have broken, thats not really a great option. Also, from Analogic the cost would be £266. Ouch!

If I had an online store, it would be a no-brainer to buy these from Phoenix over in the USA, and then re-sell them to retro community. Maybe not for £16.66 a pop, but for a decent markup, like say 2x....

But yeah, paying £16.66 for sockets, which are KNOWN to be easy to break, well, its not ideal is it.

The issue is that a majority of Amigas use 72-pin simms. Places like Amigakit and Amigastore.eu do sell these by the bucket load. There is only a small minority of accelerators and retro systems that require 30 pin simms these days. Granted a lot of these were used on older 386 and 486 PC systems. But a lot of these are 90 degree fitments. So I can see why the 30 pin Simm connectors are now hard to get hold of.

Ebay? Though check with the seller about the angle.
Actually, thats not a bad option and..... I took the plunge!

I now have 84, yes 84x 30pin 30degree Simm sockets heading my way. After paying P&P from USA, thats a princely cost per socket of £1.10!

I REALLY hope these turn out as good as they look. They appear to be the high quality, metal cliped, low profile socket type. Perfect!

I'll pop the rest on Ebay I suppose. Where should I price them? Right now Analogic have 2x of these left, for £22 a pop.

Discussing prices and what items are worth is against the rules.
