I am looking for a Voodoo graphics card for my current build.

Thank you,

bdb

Edit:
Since the Voodoo 4 & 5 are expensive overkill for the Amiga, and the others should work to provide the RAM required by the Prometheus PCI drivers to provide Amiga <=> PCI data exchange, I'd be inclined to purchase the former, bdb
I can confirm that a Voodoo 2 & 3 work, and a dual core is silly since the Amiga only uses 1 core, but I've never had the chance to test a 1.

If you still want a Voodoo I have a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI I'd consider selling. It's currently removed from my A1200T but is fully working.

Drop me a PM to discuss if you're interested.

I don't know if the Banshee is supported by the drivers for the Prometheus Firebird PCI board, but I believe that the Voodoo 1 is.
Ahhh! You want to use this on a Amiga A4000 or 3000 Prometheus then. I have this setup. Can confirm Voodoo 3 and 4 work on this. Not sure about the Voodoo 1.

Which one Bud? Voodoo 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?

Worth a read here on a Basics guide I started:

So I've read, but the GPU chip architecture is essentially the same on the Voodoo 1 - 3, unlike the Banshee that uses a newer GPU version, and since the Amiga RTG use at high resolutions and high color depth is, again, overkill as are excessive amounts of RAM and GPU chips, I am fine with merely one that provides function to the A4000 Firebird PCI board.

If you just want a basic GPU for DMA. Then I would look for a S3 Virge or Virge64 card.

And I have, but the several I've tried, including a Permedia2 don't seem to be recognized by P96
Can say a Permedia2 definitely does work. I use the paid for Icomp version of P96 at the latest version. I’m using this version with a Voodoo 3.

Well, let's state that a Permedia2 card that works in a Sun workstation doesn't work in an Amiga, and that for ease of setup, this "Wanted" post is about obtaining a Voodoo card that does.

@bdb I see that the prefix has been changed to closed, would you like us to close this out for you?

Since my Wanted thread turned into a "combative conversation," and was no longer about asking for someone to sell me a Voodoo card, I wanted to close this post. I didn't post a "Wanted - Argument over a Voodoo card," but certain respondents chose that line of discussion as moderator, Davideo watched.

Agreed. My intent wasn’t to be “Combative”. Apologies to the OP. But will point out the wanted thread wasn’t accurate to what they wanted. Good luck with your search. I know where I stand from now on….

Unless I am mistaken, communication, including questions and need for clarification can occur by PM, as well as the use on the moniker, "Bud."
