I believe this piece of hardware (rare) would allow the sharing of one 1541 between multiple computers ..?
In my case I would like to give access to my 1541 device8 & SD2IEC device9 ..to at least 3 computers ..possibly 4.
C64 VIC20 Plus4 ..and maybe a C16 .
I'm currently thinking along simple lines atm ..using one of these auto release switch units ..but I'd much prefer to re-create the VIC Switch

I think switching of only 4 lines of the 6 on the serial port ...
GND should be OK made common ..and I can ignore RESET ...so only 4 poles needed ..or at least that's the hope.
Does anyone know where schematics for the VIC Switch could be got ?
