Hello all,
I have a 4xEIDE'99 Buffered Interface for sale.

I bought this card here a few months ago and the buyer warned me about the fact that it had a problem with the hdd led since it doesn't blink but it stays on.

Initially I put the card on my A1200T and I noticed only this issue (that, to be honest, I thought was less annoying). A few weeks ago I tried the interface on two different systems (an A600 and an A1200 Desktop) and I also noticed that, depending on the CF adapters that you use, this interface seems to not work at all (the mainboard doesn't see the CF). I don't know if this weird behaviour depends on the CF adapters or on the mainboards' revision as well, anyhow there is certainly something wrong with this interface.

I sell it "as is", it could work on your system (probably leaving the hdd led always on) or it could be of no use for you unless you repair it.

I am asking 25 euros for this card.

Payment by paypal gift and P&P on charge of the buyer.
PM me if you have any questions, if you want to see more pictures you can visit the thread where I was asking for this card to be repaired: click here

Did you install correct driver?

Yes, I did, at least I think so... I have another 4XEIDE99 adapter bought new from Amigakit and I used the drivers on the floppy that I received with that card.
The incompatibilty issues (CF adapters not seen) appear before installing the drivers and in that case I don't have any chance to install the drivers.

For some weird reason the adapter is working ok since yesterday evening. I don't know exactly what is the reason, I changed the IDE 40 Pin Cables and also the CF2IDE adapters that I was using with the 4XEIDE99.
Now I am using a CF2IDE 40 pin adapter with a 512MB CF as Primary Master, an IDE CDRW as Primary Slave and a CF2IDE 40 pin adapter with a 4GB CF as Primary Slave and everything is working fine.
I just wasn't able to "see" the 4GB CF when it was formatted as FAT32 even with the FAT32 drivers correctly installed (instead, if I insert a CF through the PCMCIA2CF adapter it works). Is there something particular to do in order to have a FAT32 CF that I want to use as regular hard drive mounted at boot?

UPDATE:
The item is not for sale anymore! :) Maybe this thread can be moved in the AmiOracle section...
