This is a heads up about a freebie on another forum that isn't retro related.

I am a member on quite a few forums and a post has gone up tonight on Digital Forums from a member called Reverend, who wants to dispose of over 500 Amiga disks (as blanks, obviously) in the Derby area.

If anyone in the area wants them, let me know ASAP so I can try and set something up, or contact Reverend directly at DF.

I am the floppy king (just disk wise). More more more more more hehe. You say these are free? Do you think 500 would be more then 25kgs? I would be interested if I can get them in one courier load.

Cheers (y)

PS you don't want a free dead A1200 board to play with do you?

Ooh yeah! That will give me something to tinker with. I have a spare A1200 case that might be calling for that board.

Let me know the postage and I'll throw some beer tokens your way.

OK I am PM'ing Reverend about it now. He's online, so I hope to get a quick answer.

Reverend has PM'd me overnight. He's found what sounds like a treasure trove, with C64 and Amiga stuff; he's been testing it and it all appears to work.

I've asked him for a guesstimate of the weight once he has what he wishes to dispose of together and we will make a collection happen for him, one way or another.

He also didn't know that AmiBay existed....there are still uncoverted people out there...

Game on!! (y)

Sounds good :) I am also interested in the C64 stuff. I just bought a boxed C64 with only a handful of games. Have to see what the weight is :) I will get that broken board of to you today.

@ TC

I suggest that we see what's on offer and get it collected - Jimbo has offered to arrange courier collection. Reverend hasn't got back to me yet so I presume that he's still sorting through stuff.

Stay tuned....

I don't mind butting out of the C64 stuff for others. The Amiga stuff is more important to me. I don't mind having it all sent to me via courier then you guys can pay postage to you on the C64 stuff. I am not fussed, just the Miggy stuff I really want :)

In other words if the C64 stuff goes in same courier I can list it all and give you first dibs?

Whatever happens I am happy.

Cheers

Zilch as yet, Jim; I've just rattled his PM box again over at Digital Forums.
