Hello,
for sale is a XC68060RC50A Rev. 5 and Mask 01G65V. The CPU was removed from a MVME 172 and used in one of my TF1260s for ~1 month, after that I could switch to a Rev. 6. The CPU was never overclocked. One thing, which needs to be noted about the CPU is, that it is really tight sliding into the socket. Removing it from the MVME 172 was kinda ok, but puting it into the TF1260 was not so easy.

Asking price is 265Euro + Shipping. Accepting Paypal, buyer pays the fees.

Declaring interest
... but I need answers to some questions. I think I ask here if it's OK?
So what are the differences between Rev5 and Rev6? Is it only the possibility to overclock the Rev6 CPUs?
I could use it in TF1260 but also in Cyberstorm MKII. Does it make any difference?
TIA

Declaring interest, if crrn doens't take the processor.

When I'm not wrong the biggest differences are in the production process:
rev5 => 0.42µm
rev6 => 0.32µm
The consequence of this is that rev6 cpus run cooler and can be clocked higher.
For example there are rev6 cpus that can be clocked at 100Mhz, but not all. Not sure if there are rev6 which go higher than 100Mhz.
For example there are rev5 cpus that can be clocked at 75Mhz, but not all. Not sure if there are rev5 which go higher than 75Mhz.

Of course you should cool down an overlocked CPU and be aware that when you overlock you run it out of specs.
