I am using an Amiga 2000 with an A2620 accelerator (14.3MHz 68020, 68851 MMU, 68881 FPU, 2MB 32-bit FAST RAM) which is fine but I am looking for an accelerator with a PHYSICAL SWITCH to disable / enable the accelerator. (The A2620 has the mouse-button menu to enable disable, but this does not meet my needs).
I would even be fine with a modified A2620 the same as this, with a physical switch added. I know it's document that in a forum out there that someone modified an A2630, which is quite similar in layout to the A2620, to have a physical switch, and I sought some help in trying to add one to my current board, but responses were informative but somewhat enigmatic, and I am not sure I am up to the process -- and I don't exactly follow what has been shown to me in the way of help towards that goal.
So, 68030 (or 68020) would be fine - I am trying to keep the payment on the low side.
Thanks.
