So, this is a very different post to the ones everyone sees day in and day out, however, I have to say something about AMIBAY, its staff, its members (past prescent and future).

So it started off a few weeks ago, when Steve posted this thread:
https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?99926-1000th-Feedback-Coming

I jokingly found a feedback for Steve and got him his 1000 feedback (and a well done steve lol)

Anyway, some of you may or may not have noticed I have been absent from amibay in any substantial way over the last several months. I posted in the staff area a fairly lengthy explanation
Basically, I had to sell my entire collection to fund legal costs to get my Kids back after my ex stopped me seeing them.

So moving on, and the main point of this post, several members here on amibay, all of which I have never met but have spoken to in some form over the years many times clubbed together and this week they send me a full Amiga system, complete with machine, power mouse and games. Now am not an emotional man but I must admit, this hit a spot. After what can only be described as a painful few months, to have this form of support and generosity cant be explained. So I have made a point of thanking those members who have made this possible, and ill also thank a couple of members that have been great over the last few years and deserve a mention.

So id like to say a massive thank you to the following members:
Steve (Fitzsteve)
Tim (timtheloon)
Bas (thecorfeit)
Mike (Scrappyspynx)

These guys have shown great generosity and I am genuinely thankful, really means a lot.

P.S. Id also like to say that people like Kev (Sardine) have also been great to me both recently and in the past and deserve a shout out too.

THANK YOU ALL

FROM A FELLOW AMIGA OWNER

THANK YOU

Sorry to read that you went through such a bad patch in life especially from a family viewpoint but you have now come out the other side so I wish you the best in getting your life back together.

I feel a bit guilty now after buying some of your amiga collection.

Anyway hopefully you can get back into the scene now .

Thanks for your sentiments, but, I have no regrets and I genuinely want this thread to be a "happy" message, I am so grateful to everyone who bought my stuff and those people that have helped me as mentioned above. Amibay and its members are amazing people!!!

Hey Paul, it was my pleasure to help a fellow Amigan, I wanted to give something back to say a thanks for all the deals and trades/sales that I have completed, I can count on one hand the issues I've had in my 1000 transactions and that speaks volumes for the people here.

I hope you enjoy the Amiga :)

I'm happy to help any of my fellow amigans if i can. Hopefully now things are a bit better for you you can enjoy some miggy games, get your children involved and all have some good wholesome fun :)

What a lovely message :)

I myself haven't been on much over the last couple of years or so (not months) but I'm hoping to be much more active in future. Just work stresses mainly. If I had been on more often I too would have seen this and added something to the kit and as I type I realise I have a spare Gotek not doing anything so if the machine you have doesn't have one and you fancy one - I'll send that to you :)

Cheers, and well done lovely people (most of whom I do know personally and they are all awesome people in person - but maybe that's the beers ;) !).

Cheers

John

I'm glad you have an Amiga and I hope it's a start to your Amiga collecting again

That's great to hear.... I hope your situation steadily improves from this point onwards.

What a great end result even if it was a disheartening time getting there. I'm so pleased you have your kids back in your life again :)

I have recently returned to the amiga 'scene' but still have all my gear here, so if there is anything amiga related that you are short of or would like to get your hands on, drop me a message and I'll have a good rummage and see what I can dig out for you.

Congrats to steve also for his 1000 feedback achievement :)
