hello all
when i try to update the bios (stupidly - not knowing it was an eprom) it failed on atc-1415 mobo
having trouble finding original bios to flash to eeprom but so far no luck
i have try later versions for my mobo but with the latest (v3.30), it hangs on updating escd but when i turn off the L2 cache in bios in boots fine
i found a bios v3.20 and try that one but it got past updating escd and starts to boot from hdd or floppy and says starting ms-dos and it hangs but again turn off the L2 cache in bios it boots fine
i am guessing my original must of been an earlier version
my backup of original bios got corrupted and no idea how to see what got corrupted compared to later versions of bios
also post same question earlier on vogons - link to thread

any help would be greatly appreciated
