Hi,

I am missing the bottom shield/tray for a 1200 motherboard that is in a A1200.net case (it does have a rear IO shield though). Without the shield, the PCB is mounted too low and it is difficult impossible) to insert an expansion card.
I haven't found any metal replacement shield, but how could I lift the board just enough? Spacers? Stand-offs? Any tips and references are welcome.

Thanks!

Unfortunately Amazon only seems to sell kits Just look around for M3 washer. Even Amazon sells bags of M3 washers, I did not think they would. Most any non-conductive thing will do. Your Amiga will have keepout areas around the holes so conductive might be fine too I just like to reduce the risk of one getting loose accidentally and I don't notice it.

The white plastic ones should do the trick. Maybe pop the board into a tower?

That’s what I have, but the expansion connector is too low. That’s why I need to lift it a bit.
Ahhh! Sorry, didn’t see the bit in brackets. All I have done in the past is loosen the screw holding the board down next to the expansion connector, the expansion will then act as the standoff

Loosen the screw by the expansion port, pop the accelerator card in, tighten the screw back up.

Simple as that!

Don't press on the board. Hold the case with one hand and the accelerator card with the other

Put the card in via the trapdoor, line it up on the connector and gently push it into place.

And yes, it is that easy 😁

I use a piece of cardboard to help align the slot, and a nylon washer at the lower left M3 clip, while the stuff is in place.
