@Kin & @Juvuk

What was the depth of the DVD drive? I'm just wondering if one like that would sort out my 4000D :?

Re: A1200 DVD

I'm sure all the LiteOn IDE devices are short puppies! Ideal for A4KD's, being around 1.5" (33.81mm) shorter than Original Industry Standards. :wink:

Re: A1200 DVD

@Juvuk & @Kin

Thanks for the info.

Problem is I wanna use my SCSI board for connecting the drive.

I'm not sure if a converter and IDE will be fit or not.

I guess I'm going have to measure up and see what the different options are :?

Re: A1200 DVD

SCSI 5 & 1/4" half height devices will stop about 5 to 10 mm from the PSU. WIth some very clever cable folding, air flow can still be maintained, though not as good as a good old IDE LiteOn! :wink:

Re: A1200 DVD

I use a lite-on 52x CD-RW in my A4000D and it fits perfectly. Lite-On drives definitely seem to be a bit shorter than most other makes.

Samsung drives also tend to be a bit shorter too.
