I have an A1200 and am located in Texas. I believe it has a faulty Paula chip as I'm getting distorted sound (the A1200 has been recapped a couple of years ago). As such I'd like to replace the Paula as from what I gather that's likely the cause of the distortion. My solder skills are not so good that I'm confident in removing the old Paula and putting a socket in it's place.
Is there anyone in the USA offering these type of services? I see quite a few international but I'd like to avoid sending overseas if I can, thanks.
