As the title says...

Basicly my A2000 had no drive when i bought it, so i put a spare A500 drive in but it looks ugly with no bezel.

Is this what you are after? Bezel for Chinon FB-354?
If so, I can let you have this one for the price of shipping (which i will need to confirm)

Hi Hikey,

It looks like it. My drive is indeed a Chinon drive though not sure what the model is (i can check later on after work).

Like i said the drive is an A500 one i had spare but afaik A2K and A500 drives are the same except that the A500 has no drive access light.

I have just confirmed that the drive is an FB-354 which it is :D

Payment to Hikey sent via PayPal

Thanks Hikey + Rep:thumbsup:

Just to finish the work: the FB354 already have a socket for the square LED. Original ones are green or amber, get one and the floppy unit will look as an original replacement.

I can send you the required LED too if you like?
It has the be this type or it won't fit in the cutout

Yes please.. :)

With my drive being from an A500 it has no light, so i would really appreciate that.

Thanks

Happy :)

My A2000 is finally starting to take shape.

I bought it as "non working" "as is" junk.

It now looks like an A2000 as i removed all the black tape/adhesive and pieced it together and replaced the missing kickstart and floppy drive.

And now thanks to Hikey the front will look good too. :D See before and After Pics

The only thing that spoils it is the whole front bezel is stuck on with tape because all the risers are broken but at least the tape hardly shows:thumbsup:

Interesting marbled black painting. You'll paint the fascia too?

I think you'll be happier using a black CDTV keyboard with the custom cable changed for the A2000 one.

The marble is how i got it. It was not paint but an adhesive film or sticker. It was a total pain to remove it all but at least now it is looking like a proper A2000 .

Bezel & LED posted tonight. It's in a jiffy bag but well packed

Thanks Hikey!!

Recieved the floppy bezel/facia today, including the LED and was very nicely surprised with the proper eject button too :D

Thanks and + rep
