So, I've taken the A2000 apart, finally... dirty little thing :P

Anyhow, this here is the motherboard:

But hey, what the freck is this? The item attached to the right here:

I dare not pull that out since it's stuck very firmly to the motherboard.
Item number two on the list of things is this card, if anyone know the make / name / brand / whatever... I'd appreciate it :)

I had something like this on an old rev 6 A2000 mobo. It is some kind of fix from Commodore on some revisions. Don't remove it.

Firstly, i would remove that battery as if it has not started leaking yet it will and it could kill your A2000 mobo.

Secondly, i cannot imagine what that is... at first it looked like some sort of garry adapter but that is not the garry chip. I believe that pcb is over two smaller chips which are soldered to the board but no idea what they are.

Thirdly... Remove that battery

Well aware of the battery situation, already replaced and cleaned up properly :)

That chip thing is odd, I'll try grab a closeup of whats beneath, but it looks like it should come off, but the thing has been sitting and streaming video on a TV network for well over ten years, with my luck I'm fairly sure to mess things up :P

Thanks for the feedback thus far, also... that card there outputs video properly on the old 1084S, haven't tried the other two outputs yet though.
