Currently i use an external SCSI CDrom drive connected to the 25 pin scsi connector of my GVP HC+8.

I would much prefer it to be internal.

Is this possible to use an internal scsi cdrom drive connected to the GVP HC+8 ?

There is already a hard drive on it, so i am thinking that the cable must be replaced with a longer one which can take 2 devices right?

What should i look for?

thats right , you need one with two or more connectors on it and away you go..

mine has 3 and a terminator on the last.

Cool! So this shopping list should be good ?

[1] Scsi CDROM Drive
[2] 50 pin 2/3 way SCSI cable
[3] 50 pin scsi terminator

?

the terminator is part of the cable and cannot be removed on mine.

your external cd rom can be trial fitted in side your A2000 if you pop the case off the cd-rom box

Yeah thought of that. I could just buy a cable for now, i'm sure it shouldn't be too hard to find from an electronic supply shop and i will try it with the cdrom drive removed from the external.

Thanks

scsi cables are getting harder to find now, try ebay? or here

yep in theory you probably just need the 50 pin cable as ya cd prob has a jumper for temination, but in practise its much better have a teminated cable as it alows you add other things and just worry about their scsi number
