Hi mates, I´ve ordered an Lyra 2 interface to my brothers A3000 and missed out that the 3000 needs an Din to PS/2 adapter.. so a simple question, will an regulary (found to the pc around the net) converter do, or is the pinout different on an amiga? basically i´m thinking of soldering an own cable since i have an female ps/2 and an male DIN laying around here.. but can i follow the same schematics there is for standard pc converter?

/Patrik

The pinout from din to mini din is different, but as long your lyra expects a4000 signals that will be ok, I have been using the cable you need long time to interchange keyboards between various a2000-3000 using a4000 keyboard..

hope this helps..

If the Lyra 2 ends in a mini-DIN A4000 keyboard plug, a simple PC DIN-to-Mini-DIN adapter will allow you to use it on an A3000. I use an A4000 keyboard on my A3000 using exactly one of those cheap PC adapters.

yep simple answer is yes,
they just pass the signal straight through but have a different connector on then end

I use a din adapter all the time, well when I am using my A2000 Keyboard on the A4000 or the A1200

Thanks all :) i thought it should be the same, but better to be sure before doing anything stupid :) so now it´s time for the soldering station to be fired up while waiting on my coffe :) again, thanks all! and a happy new year to you all!
