Hi all,

I have a 3000T with Warp Engine installed. It was working fine, but I removed everything to clean the case (very, very dusty) and remove the battery (original, but little damage). Putting everything back together and everything was working fine. I installed the hard drives which pushes against the Warp Engine, got a black screen. Removed it, reinstalled and it worked fine, so I screwed in the hard drive "caddy". I noticed that it pushed the Warp Engine a bit, which now gave me a black screen again.

Removed the drive caddy, re-seated the Warp Engine board, now I get a flashing yellow screen.

Thoughts on how to resolve it?

Remove the Warp Engine again. Clean both connectors with Contact Cleaner, Alchohol amd even use deoxit. You may have pushed dirt into those connectors. Once done, reconnect back up.

I was able to get it to come up to the "Insert floppy" screen (without the hard drives connected). but it seems to be sensitive. I wonder if there are old solder joints for the connector...

I got the computer booting by removing the WE card and resetting the jumpers to 3000T defaults. So the issue is either on the WE or the connector.
