Hi, my A4000D motherboard joystick port pin 1 up direction doesn't not work but all other joystick functions work, I've changed a broken SMD capacitor 100pF that pin 1 feeds into and still doesn't work, I've checked the continuity of the board track from the capacitor to the 74HCT166 chip that receives the signal and its not open circuit but I can't understand that if the chip was broke then why are all other functions working. Any offers of advice or repair please respond.

Kind Regards Stephen

I don't know if @bebek still does repairs, I haven't seen much activity from him on the forum but he is UK based

@scrappysphinx is another one who lives in the UK who might be willing to help.

Non UK based members:

@chucky may be able to assist but be aware he is usually manufacturing Amiga motherboards and TF cards so he may not have the time.

@hese is another member on here who has the skills to do the repair but again because of his skill set he is very sort after.

In regards to all the members above they have all fixed something I have owned which is Amiga related

Thanks for all that info, I've bought another mobo for time being as i have a towerhawk to build anyway and I've ordered the 74HCT166D chips and I'm going to change them myself, alenppc put me on to a guy in Norwich called Peter who I've spoken to, he said he'd fix it for £50 so if I can't fix it myself I will send to him. Did you get your card ok?

Regards Stephen
