I have an A4000D the battery was removed & cleaned after minor leakage occurred. It's in working order but I'd like to have a few things done on it:
- Recap motherboard (I have a kit including the parts I'm just afraid to do it myself w/o the proper tools)
- Check & repair SIMM socket traces (visually there appears to be 1 broken or close to broken trace)
- Replace SIMM sockets (replacements provided)
- Fix clock battery if possible (I installed a button battery adaptor but it doesn't appear to work)
- I do also have an A1200 I received from a friend that I may be interested in getting recapped at the same time if it saves on shipping etc to do it all at once.
Looking for someone relatively close (ie: not insane shipping costs) for the repair, please message me a quote if you are able to help
