Hi folks,

@arymanx and I decided to build a compatible (to the original) A4000D case. This went into a a1k.org (German Amiga Forum) project.
All metal work is finished. The front will be done by another fellow in a1k.org based on the CNC front you might know here from AmiBay.
We're currently in beta test with a few fellows from a1k.org - so stay tuned.

The case is designed in a way that all parts are also usable in/for the original case, except the expansion port, where we allow for three instead of one expansion.

This is Christmas everyday and the best time to live for A4000 owners.
With the Arymanx custom black case and this new replica, we can be set for the next 30 years.

Is there any project ongoing to for a new keyboard case?

Excellent top draw work!

The front panel CNC thing had me going around the room shouting WAHOOO lol.
But please for the love of god, make it easy to remove and refit! the original faceplate is a pita, the tab/clips just wind me up rotten :(

Also! will you be creating the little GAME/MOUSE plate for the motherboard? I have a few of these things and only one is any good! the rest need
soaking in rust killer and you can really tell how the rust has eaten them.

Yeah, there might be something going on regarding a keyboard case :)

Thanks a lot :)

The front will have magnets attaching it to the case.

Yes Sir! We will do the mouse/joystick bracket :)

Really nice initiative!
Please keep us posted on any development!

Using magnets for attaching the front cover is a good idea.
Are there any other improvements or small design changes to make users' life a bit easier?

Is it just the internal frame work or the top cover as well? does A1k.org have a pre-order/group buy going?

The top cover as well. Top cover is made from stainless steel, so painting/powder coating is not necessary but possible.

Excellent! is it still a work in progress or are they taking orders?
We do not take orders yet. As mentioned by my friend a few cases are tested and we are awaiting feedback. Some parts are already available here via me or Marinero70.

About the PSU part, is it still possible to use a genuine A4000 PSU or only ATX/SFX?

> Can you share link to thread on sale forum, please? Cheers, Steve

Found it, never mind.
